July 15th - Day 8 - New River Valley, WV

July 16th - Day 9 New River Valley, WV to Lake James State Park, NC

Cody started the morning with a little swing in his hammock, a small drenching at the water faucet and then on to working on his Snap Circuits.

July 17 Day 10 Lake James State Park, NC to Simpsonville, SC

The last morning of packing up the tent.  Not much sleep was had with the temperatures being so high the night before.

July 18th Day 11 Folly Beach, SC

We hopped in the car at six am in Simpsonville, SC and headed to Folly Beach, SC on the coast.  The drive was about three and a half hours each way.  It was totally worth the drive.

We all slept in the tent right next to our cabin again.  Time to head out of Ohio and onto new adventures.

The storms were pretty intense last night, so we all are short of sleep for the second day in a row. The kids slept walked through some breakfast.

July 10, 2019 Day 3 Indiana Dunes to Whitewater Memorial State Park, IN

The calm after the storm. Well sort of. Brooke woke us up at 4:40 alerting us to the rain that was drumming into our campsite and picking up speed and energy with every moment. Scott and I stumbled out of the tent still with our eyes half open and put the fly on the tent faster than I think we ever have. The timing just before sunrise allowed us to be able to see unlike most instances when we are woken up in the middle of the night. We rested for a few more hours, but no one really fell back to sleep.
