Spring Break March 23 – March 29th, 2014 : Part 1

We left home at 7:30am and drove until 5:30 pm.  We had been excitedly anticipating seeing our family friends for months!  We couldn’t wait to see them again!  After arriving and unloading we played with some toys, ate some pizza, and happily collapsed into bed.

I finally built a Chuck Box

Finally fed up with filling a picnic table with my cooking gear and stove, I searched the web for chuck box designs. I settled on the Grubby 1 by Blue Sky Designs. The pictures below show some of the build process.

2013 US Road Trip 1 Second Per Day Video

This was a fun little project that I learned about from a TED talk. The basic concept is that 1 second of video is enough to trigger the memory of the event - which it seems to do quite well. I’m excited to see how this video affects my recollection in the future. For those of you who didn’t experience it first-hand the effect might be somewhat limited so I’ll create a longer highlights video when I get the time.
