We hopped in the car at six am in Simpsonville, SC and headed to Folly Beach, SC on the coast. The drive was about three and a half hours each way. It was totally worth the drive.
Brooke and Aunt Tiffany
We happily relaxed in the sand and searched for shells for hours.
Cody was so elated to be at the ocean again and with his cousin. He jumped up and down and splashed in the waves and said, “This is only my second time at the ocean!” Although it was really his third time, but I don’t expect him to remember Alaska when he was just barely one. He smiled all day long.
Reapply was the word of the day. We were reapplying every two hours, if not sooner.
Scott and I walked to the pier and up the observation deck.
Tiffany’s friend had suggested this beach and it was perfect. The parking was close, the beach had fine sand that didn’t hurt to walk on, it wasn’t noisy or over crowded, and there was a shower and bathroom near the parking lot. It was an amazing way to spend our first full day with the cousins.
