We hung out at the American Museum of Science and Energy today.

The kids loved the hands-on exhibits and the Magic School Bus episodes.

This was a crazy game where the kids had to figure out how to dispose of the nuclear waste in a certain time limit.  The kids learned about the rules for disposal of nuclear waste. Materials of different levels can only be disposed of in certain places.  Scott and Brooke started working on a puzzle with the first nine billiard balls.  Each row, column, and diagonal had to had up to 15.  They decided to take a break and eat some lunch.  While at lunch two ladies suggested our dinner location to Scott.

They did it!  The solved the puzzle.  The kids loved the maze.  We spent at least an hour here.  We toured one of the homes that was quickly built for Oak Ridge.

The flat houses weren’t fancy, but they had real wood furniture and were built in less than a day.  Cody and Brooke loved the quiz. They loved when I had a wrong answer even more.

We were the last people to leave the museum. Next we headed to our recommended dinner location: Kroger.  The dinner was quite delicious.  Scott had fish and the kids had chicken.  The kids found the perfect cereal Sprinkled Donut Crunch.  I like that the cereal isn’t even pretending to be healthy. After dinner we headed back to the Smokys to stay at Elkmont campground.
