“You’re Going the WRONG Way!!!”  We love to visualize and chuckle at this scene from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

The day started off innocently enough.  Following the Great River Road Signs mile after mile, minute after minute….hour after hour all going THE WRONG WAY!!!! I wanted to tell you all the truth, but I thought I would let Scott narrate the fun for himself.  I am typing while he is narrating and driving, and I think going the right way.

Why ask for directions when you have a GPS telling you you are going the wrong way.  Oh yes, the GPS said to turn around, and did we listen?  No!  However, we did get to see the Mississippi from both the east and the west banks going both north and south.  It also brought us to a Bald Eagle Sanctuary in Wabasha, MN.  We were able to see Lake Pepin, the claimed birthplace of water skiing.  It was an incredible sight seeing so many sailboats in one spot on the Mississippi.  We also enjoyed another night at the Washington County Campground overlooking the St. Croix River.  That night was the night we met Wes, who told us about the neat sights in St. Paul and Minneapolis.  When we parted ways with Wes on Monday he was off to buy his retirement dream car.

In other news, we began our “Tantrum Tally” today just to make things more entertaining for us.  We are still working on the exact parameters of a tantrum.  Again, I know this may sound cruel, but for our sanity we decided to do some recording, so we have some base line data, so we know whether new approaches are working.  If five minutes elapse between an incident then another incident is recorded.  Just in noting the events it appears we have seen a decrease in her outbursts.  I think we are confusing her, but at least she stops long enough to potentially listen to reason.
