Day 15: June 17th

At this point, we have had twice as many rainy days as sunny days. Scott cooked all of us French Toast in the rain while we sat in the dry van watching him quickly look more like a wet rag than the Dada.

In an attempt to block out my disgruntled “I hate rain” mood, I finally put m iPod in my ears.  I listened to, “I’m Leaving on a Jet Plane,” very tempting song and I am still listening to Beatles, “Good Day Sunshine” for the fourth time.  I don’t usually listen to my iPod with Brooke around because she of course wants to listen too.  I could hook it up to the radio for the whole van to hear, but then she wouldn’t want to hear it.  She is in one of those moods that matches the weather.  I’m sure it is no reflection of my happy-go-lucky mood. ;-/

Scott just had me take a picture of us crossing into Alberta.  The rain is slightly painful at 70 mph or really ~100 km ph.  See, again, something to be thankful for, I’m not on a motorcycle.  Scott thought that would be a fun trip too.  He thought we could get a sidecar for each of the kids.  It is one of those images that is a lot more fun in my imagination.

A rest stop just over the Alberta border. Driving wasn’t driving any of us crazy – really ;-)

We just arrived in Drumheller, Alberta.  We will stay here tonight and explore more tomorrow.

Cody has had enough with strollers and car seats. He fights with all his little might every time we put him in one.

He has given up the fight. He just wants his thumb and his blanket. Momma kinda feels the same way today.
