Day 13: June 15th: Leaving Buffalo Pound

We are currently soaking in the sunshine as we drive from Buffalo Pound Prov. Park North on Route 2 up to Route 11 into Saskatoon.  We will most likely stay in Saskatoon for a few days.

This little bird spent the entire morning crashing into my window at the campsite.  No sooner had I told Scott about it then the bird somehow snuck in when someone went into the van.  We spent a few minutes getting him back out, only to have him try doing it all over again.  Anyone know what kind of bird it is?

Speaking of crazy animals, our campground also came with crazy squirrels.  They reminded me of dogs.  They knew who to sit by too.  They loved Cody.   This, my friends, is why I am worried about bears.  Cody is not exactly careful about eating.  In fact, I think he secretly has a contest each meal to see how much food he can fling and how much of the picnic bench he can eat and touch.  One of the little squirrels was so brave that he touched my heel with his wet nose this morning.  We both jumped a little.

Scott climbing back on top of the van to put the bikes back up.  He got another ride in this morning.  Apparently part of the World Cup circuit is there.  He enjoyed a solo ride this morning on some single track while we cleaned up breakfast and enjoyed the park.  After Scott came back we all took showers.  I thought  30 seconds was a ridiculous amount of time for the water to spray.  This shower was a push with all your might, and you get six seconds of water (no exaggeration).  That will teach me to complain about a  thirty second water spray! We stayed in Buffalo Pound two nights, and we really liked it there.  Brooke asked if we could stay there again someday.
