Some days it is difficult to get in even one post, but today I have done three short ones. We are on our way back to our campsite back at Buffalo Pound Prov. Park. Scott learned on his buffalo trek that the place is called Buffalo Pound because the Native Americans would scare the buffalo into a group of waiting hunters in an attempt to catch some dinner. The practice was called a buffalo pound. I haven’t looked that up, nor have I seen the info he has, so hopefully I paraphrased that correctly.
We really, really, really enjoyed the tour of the Tunnels of Moose Jaw. They provided historical information via a dramatization. It was very interesting and informational. A definite must if you ever venture this way. It was probably not the best tour for the cuties, but since it was a dramatization and we were constantly moving (plus I brought dried fruit and Kix) they stayed happy. Obviously it is harder to do the things we would like to do with little ones, so sometimes we skip things we’d like to do, but this tour said it was okay to bring kids. I was surprised how much Brooke understood. She asked me why we came to learn about such a “bad man”. It was an interesting conversation since I didn’t think she was listening or comprehending, but as kids often do, she surprised me with her insight.
