Ahhh…. This is how all our mornings should start. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and Cody slept in until 6:40. I probably should also mention that he was up past 11. Yes, 11. Ugh.
Saskatchewan does not participate in Daylight Savings Time, so even though we should be in the same time zone as Chicago right now, they are an hour earlier here. Which means that when Scott and I woke up at almost 2 am our time to some kids partying, it was really only an early 1 am. My first reaction really was, “Wow! They sound like they are having fun. I’d love to go find out what hill they are wildly he-hawing about climbing.” My second reaction was, “Oh my goodness! Cody will be waking up in three hours and I only just got to sleep a few hours ago.” I have discovered that I really need seven hours of sleep to be at optimum operating speed. Thus you will understand my constant forgetting of vocabulary, ugly grammar mistakes, and the occasional forgetting where I am and what I am doing in the middle of nowhere.
Speaking of in the middle of nowhere. We are in between Regina and Moose Jaw.
